About Me

I’ve always said if I could go back and do it all again, I’d go to cooking school, learn to cook, and own a small café.

I grew up in western Pennsylvania in a family where good home cooked meals were the norm.  My mother was a fabulous cook. My father enjoyed good food, and was a pie man.  I get my sweet tooth from him.

Early childhood days were spent in the kitchen, watching my mother cook. She was self-taught, highly skilled, and for a time, made pies from scratch for a local restaurant. I loved the excitement of holidays as family arrived, the anticipation of the meal, and there was Mom in the kitchen directing it all while hand mixing pie dough as though it was an extension of her arm.  She never seemed to pay attention and they always turned out perfect.  Light flaky crust with a wonderful flavor.  As a young teen I often helped in the kitchen.  As Mom directed, I was put to work chopping or peeling, which I did without hesitation. I loved being part of it all.

However, after graduating from high school, I left home for college in Utah. I studied Broadcasting and found myself on the fast track of television production. I did anything and everything to gain knowledge and experience. After 32 years in the television industry, I’ve decided to begin a new stage of my life and follow my passion to bake.

I left my career and the US for school at Le Cordon Bleu, London.  I studied Patisserie and found what i was looking for, an amazing experience through chefs, fellow students and patisserie.  My time in London launched a new journey for me and provided memories to last a lifetime.
