First day was orientation and a lot of instruction.  We were instructed where to go for a fire escape or fire drill several times.  (We meet by the British Museum by the way.)  We are reminded of it enough it makes me wonder just how many fires they’ve had.

On to the second day for sugar and fruit salad.  I am now skilled at taking my fingers from a bowl of ice water and dipping into boiling sugar to grab a bit and test for a soft ball or crackle.  You may use a spoon as well but I wanted to man up and use my hand.  Wasn’t too bad.   The fruit salad is for knife skills.  I didn’t take a pic of my salad but it was fancy enough.   Fun.
